Who are Alter Servers?
Lay members of the parish who serve at mass in assistance to the Priest & Deacon.

What do Alter Servers do?
Assist with the mass; carrying crucifix & candles during procession, hold scriptures for Priest,
help Priest prepare for communion, ring bells, keep sanctuary organized during mass.

Is there meetings? How much time committment is there?
Alter Servers serve as long as they wish to continue. Alter servers are assisgned to a
particular mass and serve as needed. They must also attend training sessions each year
and meetings as required. Alter Servers must have already received First Communion.
Both children and adults can be Alter Servers.
